I literally asked the hotel to spread the cost across multiple Amex cards to optimize the points and one charge for $2,000 USD processed as $2,150 USD because of how they treat currency conversions. This is an incredibly sketchy way to squeeze more money out of their hotel guests.

Upon checkout, I was shocked to find out that the stay was going to be much more expensive due to how the Conrad treaded currency conversions. I booked this stay using the Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts program, and Amex priced the cost at $2,575 total for this 5 night stay. I hope the hotel wont call my room in the mid night trying to resolve anything when seeing this. This is the worst hotel staying experience I've ever had. I just hope it wont happen that someone comes in claiming this room since I am already assigend to the king bed room without any notice. And until now in the mid night, I am still staying in the original room, I dont bother asking, its too late, I am tired, my son is in bed. I rushed back to the original room, thank god they didnt move my stuff and I can still open the door. they changed my room without any notice or any call or any type of communication. Then I ordered something, and when asked for room number for room charge and it was not validated, the bar attendant told me its another room!!!. Well so they can do this option but they didn't offer it but just asking me to wait for 3 hours for the room I want. I said why dont you give me whatever room you have and let my family settle in and call me when the king bed room is ready. Ok fine, then I asked if I can get a room with king bed and they told me yes you can sit here in the lobby to wait for 3 hours for the king bed room to be ready. Two days ago the hotel sent me an email saying my room got upgraded with my diamond membership. I am staying in this hotel with my family right now at the moment and sharing the terrible and worst experience in the hotel room.
